“Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”
~ Teddy Roosevelt
When I first became a Realtor® I expected a lot from my clients…
then after 15 years in the same place, I sold my house and moved. Between selling our house, renting a temporary house for 3 months while we waited for our sellers to move out, and moving all our earthly possessions twice in 90 days, I learned what it truly meant to care about my clients. Now, I can’t do everything for you, but I do understand first hand what it takes to prepare your home to sell, look for a new place to live and deal with all the details involved in buying and selling a house.
I diligently strive to be thorough, compassionate, and help you set expectations for your real estate experience so it can be the best possible experience for you, no matter the circumstances. You are not just a transaction to me…you are a relationship and relationship matters.
What are Designations? What do they mean? And Why do they matter?
Have you ever seen letters following a Realtor’s name like ABR or SRES and wondered what they meant? In my BR days (before Real Estate), I saw them and not only did I not know what they meant, I didn’t figure it really mattered. Well, now that I’m in the real estate world I TOTALLY get it and figured it wouldn’t hurt to share this with you!
In most career fields there are opportunities for continued education and learning to help make you better at what you do. As a licensed Realtor® I am required to take at least 16 hours of continuing education every 24 months and the more specific I can be in certain areas of learning, the better I can serve specific needs of my clients. In the last 5 years I have received three designations that are designed to help me better serve you and I’ve provided a brief description of each of them!
Designations

The Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation is for real estate buyer agents who focus on working directly with buyer-clients at every stage of the home-buying process. The Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation course is designed specifically to give Realtors® and real estate professionals, the knowledge, training and ability needed to become an expert negotiator – a vital skill required for real estate transactions.SRES – Senior Real Estate Specialist
The Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation is for REALTORS® who want to be able to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties.
